Jurassic lines

On a recent trip to south Wales we spent a delightful afternoon fossil hunting with Isabelle at Llantwit Major, one of the best spots in Wales to find fossils. The scenery was spectacular, with the lines of ancient history laid bare on the cliff face.

I spotted the small stone tower as I was walking along the beach — a simple but effective reaction to what was around us. As I touched the layers in the rock face I felt humbled, the weight of 200 million years of life on earth.
